Utilities everywhere are facing major transformations, including higher customer expectations, destructive storms, integrating intermittent renewable energy, electric vehicles, energy efficiency and demand response technologies and also adapting to customers producing their own electricity.

Our members are large utilities across the country piloting and implementing smart grid projects.  Our role is to help utilities navigate this change. We do so by facilitating:

• Information exchanges and sharing of lessons learned on which smart grid technologies and projects really work
• National and international connections and joint projects to help utilities transform for the next phase of innovation
• Leading smart grid conference in Canada, national workshops and international trade missions
